Product Manager resume example
A product manager resume should show judgement: what you chose to build, what you chose not to build, and the outcome.
Skills to list
- Roadmapping
- User research
- Prioritisation
- A/B testing
- SQL basics
- Stakeholder management
- Specs and PRDs
- Go-to-market
- Analytics
List only the skills you have. Use the same words as the job post so applicant tracking systems can match them.
Example bullet points
- Led a team of six to launch self-serve onboarding; activation rose from 31% to 46% in one quarter.
- Cut the roadmap from 22 items to 7 using impact and effort scoring, and shipped all 7 on time.
- Interviewed 40 customers and found that setup time, not price, was the top churn reason.
- Wrote the spec for a billing change that reduced failed payments by 18%.
- Aligned sales, support and engineering on one release plan for a 9-month platform rebuild.
These are sample lines. Replace the numbers and tools with your own. Never claim a result you did not deliver.
Tips
- Every bullet needs a metric and a decision.
- Show scope: team size, users, revenue or budget you owned.
- Keep it to one page unless you have 10+ years of experience.
